Guess the Number 1 Anti-Aging Enemy?

Bad Posture!!!

Yes, it is.

Like it or not, we all slouch as we age for one reason or another or simply a bad habit we pick up through lack of attention. Looking down at our cell phones doesn’t help.

I see it in others all the time,(says she who isn’t looking in the mirror at the moment).

When Dr. Yen and I teach our Face Fitness program, the very first lesson we offer is posture correction.

The more erect your posture, the younger and healthier you look. It’s amazing how the average person looks 10-15 years younger simply standing upright. Not to mention that holding yourself in good posture says, “I’m comfortable in myself, and I’m confident.” Nothing wrong with that attitude. The more confident you are, the more respect you command, and the effects keep snowballing in a very positive direction.

When I teach yoga, I constantly remind my students to stand upright and balanced. I even go as far as to recommend an excellent posture tool.

It’s available on Amazon. Good posture is great for your health. You feel better in your body, including your face. And the healthier you look, the younger you appear.

So before you go running to get something “done” to make you look younger… stand up straight. Pull your neck into alignment with your shoulders, relax your shoulders back and down, open your chest and hold your head up high. It looks like you’re happy to be “alive” in your life.
